The human body serves as one holistic function, meaning there is no separation of the mind, body, spirit and emotions. An imbalance in one of these functionalities causes an individual's overall wellness to be compromised. Illness occurs when the body is exposed (over time) to an environment in which it can not survive. When the body is not at ease (balanced) it is in a state of dis-ease (imbalance). The more unhealthy the lifestyle, the more susceptible to dis-eases one becomes.
